Showdown at the Generic Place! – 37

> Story: Recap events.

Our hero, the HANDSOME and COURAGEOUS player BEAVERSTYLEKUNGFU is currently at the HEADQUARTERS of the dastardly SQUIRREL EAST INDIA TRADING COMPANY, trying to get back the ANCESTRAL RELICS of another group of SQUIRRELS who are supposed to be pirates or Vikings or something, you’re not completely sure. He successfully found the FANCY HATS ROOM, but a RED HERRING lay in wait there, and now our hero is locked in mortal combat for his life! Will he survive?

Meanwhile, our hero’s LOYAL and RESOURCEFUL companion, ITALIANFOODANIMAL is trapped on the SQUIRREL LONGBOAT, waiting for his friend to return with the ANCESTRAL RELICS that will buy his freedom! Captured but not helpless, our hero’s crafty companion has been slowly and subtly MASTERMINDING the situation, hoping to gain advantage at a crucial time. But cruelest of fate! Just as our MASTERFUL MASTERMIND was about to put his cunning plan into action, the LONGBOAT was attacked by the HELLSHIPS, the FLYING INDIAMAN and the FLYING WELSHMAN, captained by DAVY SMITH and DAVY STEVE, two of the most feared and despicable captains that sail the multiverse! Will our cunning companion have to join forces with his captors to fight off a common enemy?

Double meanwhile, the TERRIFIC TAG-TEAM of GENCOLAM.D. and DOOMPUTTPUTT broke into an enemy MECHANOFORTRESS, where all sorts of crazy SHENANIGANS occurred. However, it is now three on two, and our two are running low on resources! Will the DUO overcome the odds? Or will they have to make a DISCREET RETREAT?

Mean-meanwhile, SHOOPDAWHOOPA just left the MECHANOFORTRESS to deal with a SHIP of some sort that was FIRING at them! He left his protégé, JDARC in the MECHANOFORTRESS, where she can keep up with the CONSTRUCTION, and also try to figure out how the heck her CLASS works!

Our heroes are without exception in dangerous situations! They have no time to waste in rallying their defenses!

You stop whatever you’re doing for a moment to see what new abilities you’ve gotten!

BEAVERSTYLEKUNGFU gained LATENT AUTOTELEKINESIS, a static ability that increases his RUN and JUMP.

ITALIANFOODANIMAL got several new abilities related to MASTERMINDING. They’re probably too complex for us to understand!

GENCOLAM.D. got another COMMAND SLOT and the ability to create LEVEL TWO ABOMINATIONS!

DOOMPUTTPUTT got the ability to MECHANOMANCE up a MECHANOFAMILIAR in order to aid in his MECHANOMANCY! Unfortunately he needs TIME to create one!

SHOOPDAWHOOPA received no new abilities, though his general abilities increased.

JDARC had an ANCIENT STONE CIRCLE appear next to her ANCIENT GEAR CALENDAR. This will no doubt turn out to be a USEFUL and POWERFUL thing!

> AJ: Research methods of removing oppression limits. After all they are kind of oppressive themselves, and you’re the only one allowed to be oppressive.

Actually, you were the one who initiated the OPPRESSION LIMITS, and not even you can question your decisions. Why, if you did, everyone might start questioning your decisions, and that would lead to all sorts of terrible things like people thinking for themselves!

  1. HELLSHIPS: Join forces and vanish.

    BSKF: Make the red herring headbutt himself.

    SEVEN-ARMED MEDIUM GIANT OCTOPUS: Grow new arm and search for your master.

    DPP: The enemy is sufficiently harassed. Time to skedaddle!

  2. JDARC: Mediate to try and manipulate objects on your INTERNAL ORRERY TIMEPIECE. Like teaching FLUFFY BUNNIES to operate the FACTORY (all of which you previously SNATCHED).

    SHOOPDAWOOP: Manipulate physics to make the projectiles on the attacking ship explode upon receiving a sudden force.

    ITALIANFOODANIMAL: Use Mastermind abilities to draw upon unused abilities of fellow players. Use those abilities to wreck hellships.

    Probably going to offer more commands latter. Would be nice to have an easily accessable character:class list for the group.

    • DPP+GENCOLAMD: Attempt escape only to realize your boat has gone missing.

      BLUNDERBUSS ROGUES: Sail to nearest island (other than the one you just left) in search of CAT PERSON.

    • Good point. Someone should throw the Showdown stuff onto the wiki. I would do that now except that it’s finals week and I probably shouldn’t even be reading this stuff, let alone writing wiki pages.
